Introducing My Aspirement, A Movement Underway For Professional Women
There’s a new movement underway launching for women that will reframe the conversation about retirement.
The new community will provide successful women who are mid-career or anticipating post-career opportunities with valuable resources, inspiration, coaching and collaboration to help them pursue their aspirations. Women who are approaching their “empty nest” phase, are caretakers for elderly parents, or have gone through a significant life change will also gain the inspiration and support they need to pursue what may be next in their lives.
My Aspirement is the brainchild of Camille Wolsonovich, founder and CEO who enjoyed a 35-year career with Disney where she cultivated an impressive resume, including leadership roles in Operations, Organizational Development and Human Resources supporting a number of Disney’s dynamic businesses from parks to media & entertainment and advertising. Camille was also instrumental in forming the first women’s employee resource group for Walt Disney World, known as the Women’s Inclusion Network (WIN).
"Research shows that men see retirement as a destination,” explained Wolsonovich, recounting a recent Forbes article about the study. “Women see it as a journey. When asked to describe retirement, men used words that reflected the brochure imagery of retirement, such as “rest,” “relax,” and “hobbies.” In contrast, women of the same age described life after work as “freedom,” “peace,” and “time for me.”
Accordingly, as Camille sets MYA in motion, she is energized by the infinite possibilities available to women pursuing their aspirations. Her vision is that “every woman deserves to become, believe in, and share her best self with the world in ways that are uniquely hers.”
