Embrace the Local Community: Celebrating Small Business Saturday with Aspirement!

Today, My Aspirement celebrates Small Business Saturday. This is the day when we come together as a community to champion the heartbeat of our local economies—the small businesses that make our neighborhoods unique and vibrant.

At My Aspirement, we're a community of dreamers and doers who believe in the power of small businesses to drive positive change. We're taking a moment to shine the spotlight on some incredible local businesses that align with our values and vibe. They share our commitment to inclusion, community/collaboration, joy/gratitude, and authenticity. These aren’t just places to shop and support.  We see them as stories to explore, passions to celebrate, and dreams to realize. After all, when we support small businesses, we're not just spending money; we're investing in the soul of our community.

Ready to discover some gems that make our local landscape shine? Let's celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship that makes our community truly extraordinary.

A unique and trusted relationship. In southwest Orlando, the team at Cut & Color Room has been making women look and feel fabulous for over 19 years. Part artist, part therapist, part stylist—there are few relationships more trusted than between a woman and her hair stylist. When I walk in, I feel welcomed and cared for. Every time I walk out, I feel as beautiful as I did on my wedding day, many years ago.

A woman-owned dream come true.  In the heart of Orlando, House on Lang is a bungalow full of treasures. The boutique is owned by two female entrepreneurs who have a love for travel and a passion for bringing people together through authentic and custom experiences. Each room overflows with local artwork, jewelry, gifts, home goods, and clothing. The workshop is a place for events that offer inspiration and collaboration. And the backyard is used for a variety of local experiences, from artists to music to food.

Driven by trend-forecasting. The lush LiveTrends Boutique in downtown Winter Garden is the flagship store for Live Trends and is home to many nature and art-inspired events. The manager says she loves bringing joy to the lives of so many. Live Trends offers thoughtfully designed living works of art meant to help us breathe life into where we live. It has a diverse, talented team of innovators who are both curious and creative.

Each has its own story and creates memories for years to come.  The family-owned Fama Creations helps turn customers dreams into stunning custom furniture. They love to use all kinds of reclaimed wood and materials. They believe that reusing wood, once intended for something else, not only saves a tree but also tells a story and gives the wood a special character. When not in the shop, they are enjoying raising their young children.

Broader than a small business.  Last but not least, women-led 100 Women Strong seeks to improve the lives of women and children through collective giving and collaborative grant-making and to inspire women in Central Florida to be strategic philanthropists. Encouraging us all to give back.
